Shot Clocks for Sandwiches
The Markets by Tiger is thrilled to partner with UVA Men’s Basketball and Big Brother’s Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge to host another season of Shot Clocks for Sandwiches.
Shot Clocks for Sandwiches makes it return this year to John Paul Jones arena. For every shot clock violation that the Hoos force this season at home, The Markets of Tiger fuel will donate a pair of sandwiches to each big/little pair in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program here in Charlottesville. That’s a total of 110 sandwiches for every violation, and ensures our local matches can grab a bite to eat before or after their weekly activities.
During the 2024-2025 season, the Virginia Men’s Basketball team held opponents without a shot 19 times. Looking forward to seeing that number grow during the current basketball season!

Our Bigs and Littles look forward to Shot Clocks for Sandwiches all yearlong! Matches meet 2-4 times a month doing a variety of fun activities. They relish the opportunity to enjoy delicious sandwiches from The Markets on the house while they cheer on the Hoos!
